Who are you?.....Share Your Story
Updated: Apr 30, 2018
Whether you are trying to figure out "what you want to be when you grow up" or have your "mid-life crisis" in trying to figure out what you HAVE done, now that you're all grown up, understanding and figuring out who you are or who you want to be is a key element in our never ending identity search.
"The more you know of your history, the more liberated you are." ~ Dr. Maya Angelou
Author, poet, historian, songwriter, playwright, dancer, stage and screen producer, director, performer, singer, and civil rights activist.
Many begin this search through better understanding their ancestral roots. DNA testing may be that beginning point for those that, perhaps, have no idea where their families came from. For others, reaching out to older family members and asking questions of our family's past and story.
You'd be surprise what kind of information you may be able to find. Perhaps your heritage is not as you once said or understood it to be. Maybe there are aspects of your family history that were not at all the same as has been passed down generations. Reconnecting to your family history can be both exciting and enlightening.
Which ever way you chose to venture out into this journey of finding out about YOU, I encourage you to take some time aside in learning more about yourself, your ancestral story and find a better understanding of who you are. You might be surprise at what you find!
Take a moment and reflect on the following & share your thoughts with us:
Who am I now?
What journey got me here?
Where do I want to go?
